Professional seller
What trader status means on the platform and what obligations it brings.
Who is a professional seller
Anyone selling in the course of their business: a company, a sole trader, or a person who sells constantly, in quantities beyond clearing out their own home. It isn't a marketing choice — it's a legal classification, and the buyer's rights depend on it.
What changes
- Buyers have a 14-day right of return, without giving a reason.
- Listings show that the seller is a trader, with the company's details.
- You need verified identity before you can publish.
- Invoices are issued to the company, not the person.
How to switch to this status
From Settings → Verification, where you upload the company details. A person reviews it, it isn't auto-approved, and it usually takes one working day.
If you sell as a professional without declaring it, the liability stays yours, not ours: the buyer has their rights whatever your account says.
